Chalton Gallery is a project space gallery dedicated to showcase Emerging British artists and Mexican artists from various generations.

Main programme of exhibitions for Chalton Gallery in 2018:

The first four months will be dedicated to four solo shows and a group show by British based artists, including: Laura O'Neill, Fani Parali, Rosie Carr, Catalina Barroso and Antonia V Showering. This will be followed by four solo shows of artists from Mexico, including: prominent figures such as Guillermo Santamarina and Enrique Jezik, and emerging artists Rodrigo Red Sandoval and Manuel Solano. In August British Artist Lucy Pawlak will transform the gallery into a gym to host a series of events.

Back in September Giula Pistone will curate the exhibition 'City Protocol’ as part of a long-term curatorial and artistic research project focused on the current phenomenon of standardisation of urban environments at a global level. Yoshua Okón, who is co-founder of the historic space from Mexico City 'La Panaderia' and founder of the non-profit organization SOMA, will have his first solo show in London in October. We will end the year with a really dynamic group show.

The exhibitions will last longer than in previous years, but we are having a more dynamic programme of performances, screenings and events. We will have more sonic events every month at The Function Room (Upstairs Cock Tavern).

Projects in Mexico:

We also curate exhibitions of International artists in Mexico in collaboration with multiple organizations.

In 2018 we are curating the exhibition titled 'Temporary Realities' in collaboration with Karen Hubber Gallery. This project is part of the exciting and diverse International Programme of Contemporary Art in Mexico during the first and second week of February. We are also having an exhibition of British artists inside a tube station of Mexico City. We are looking forward for a lot more collaborations with Mexican and International artists and organizations.
